ASIA

Philippines: Praise for the core of locals that have gathered around Todd and Catherine Caplinger to bless and encourage them as they labor in the field. Their friend, Greg, has a great heart for the ministry in the mountain church at Don Salvador and does a wonderful job as Todd’s translator. Praise for the open-arms  welcome from the Vice Mayor and Council Members in Don Salvador, to build a church on the granted land usage in this very poor community. This has been a huge step of encouragement for their local ministry.
Please continue to uphold the Philippines Medical Mission Outreach (PMMO) in April in your prayers. They have experienced resistance and opposition to this ministry in the past. Praise for the medicines from two Pharmaceutical Companies that have arrived at headquarters. They are ready to be repacked and shipped to team members who will take them to the Philippines. Urgent prayer request:  Albendazole which is a de-worming medicine used for adults and children is badly needed. The FDA will not release this medicine/drug for us to use in the Philippines. (Elaine Hatch is trying to locate it in Canada and other places. If anyone has any ideas where she could get it, please give her a call at the HQ office. Thanks.)

Japan: Please continue to pray for Nick and Sandy Guerra’s ministry in the prisons on Okinawa.

Macau: Please continue to pray for John and Suzanna Hyrons as they minister in the Wing Gei church with Pastor Paul and Alice Wong. Pray as they seek to encourage people through the Day Care Center, Youth, Nurse’s, Women’s and Men’s Fellowship meetings held during the week. John praises with some good news concerning their new church building. Originally the tenant was going to move out in July, but notified them that they would be leaving at the end of the month. Pray as they begin remodeling the new facility in March. They trust to be in the new building having services by May or June.

India: O_asks for prayer for three people who have been baptized and added to the church.

CENTRAL & SOUTH AMERICA

Ecuador:  Rick’s airplane engine has arrived safely in Tulsa, OK, where the overhaul process has begun. Pray for Sharon’s preschool which has had a notable change since returning to class at the end of January. Praise for the missionary candidate, Andy DVarga who literally showed up on Rick and Sharon LaBouef’s doorstep. Andy, who will be married in May, is checking out ministry options in Ecuador. He has been helping on maintenance projects and also sharing some good preaching opportunities with Rick in the park. Please continue to pray for Rick and Sharon’s family as they grieve the loss of their grandson Joshua.

Peru: Please pray for Dennis and Ruth Lacoursiere’s daughter Becky, living in Canada going to University. She has been diagnosed with typhoid.

Mexico: Pray for Tony Heredia as he prepares messages and travels to Alaska to minister in a church there from February 26 to March 3rd. He is also preparing a 40th CD of his ministry.

Guatemala: Please pray for Miguel Toledo who has acute upper respiratory sinus infection with lots of coughing. Pray for Linda for strength and God’s help, as she will be translating/interpreting while a team is there preaching in the villages.

Honduras: Norma Hunt praises for a calm situation as the newly elected President, Porfirio Lobo, was voted in. Please pray for seven-year-old Cesar, who was brought into the hospital with a poisonous snakebite. He was given a blood transfusion and the Great Physician extended His healing hand and little Cesar pulled though. Pray for the little church that has growing pains, but is moving forward. Continue to pray for a pastor.

NORTH AMERICA

United States: Continue to pray for Edward & Connie McCullough (Mariellen Hiatt’s parents) as her time is short.  Please continue to pray for Leonard & Joy Rosenfeld as their house is still up for sale. They are busy ministering to the battered women at the Rescue Mission in Visalia, and helping with the Woodlake Food Pantry on Tuesdays. Praise for God’s timing on the sale of the CinA property and moving to Fresno. Continue to pray for the missionary candidates and their families (Matt & Shelley Actis for Colombia and Michael & Carmen Cancio for the Philippines) as they deputate for their support.

Pray for the 200 people who made decisions for Christ with CinA staff members at the 2010 World Ag Exposition in February. We had ten staff members who took part including missionary Christian Kallon visiting from Sierra Leone, West Africa and Andrea Francis from Colombia, South America.

Please continue to pray for Becky (Sutherland) Pease, who is battling breast cancer for the third time. Becky and husband Ray have been to see the oncologist at Stanford Medical Center. The doctors are holding meetings with several boards to do what is called a “compassion case.” There is a new drug that is going through clinical trials; it is called a PARP inhibitor. For Becky to receive treatments with this drug, not as a participant of the trials, the whole procedure must be approved through the FDA. Please continue to pray for Ray and for Becky’s children. We are praying for a miracle!!

Pray for Tom Hodges whose phonetic research studies for a Speech Analyzer enhancement had been particularly demanding this month. Shelley Actis, our missionary candidate to Colombia, had the opportunity to co-lead a team of 16 from the USA, on a short-term mission trip to work in Haiti, before the earthquake. They were able to purchase 6 goats for families in need.

Retired: Praise for Adeline Quisenberry, who is feeling stronger, but still needs help walking. She is enjoying playing her keyboard almost everyday. Please pray for Allison, Lorraine Shelley’s granddaughter, who is off to work in Haiti for three weeks. She is the only journalist documenting the work of the medical team during the time there in Haiti.

Alumni: Dorris Ngaujah praises the Lord for her safe return to her home in Kenya, after some time in the states with family and friends. Connie (Anastasi) Keefauver has a mass on the left side of her brain and a spot on her left kidney. The neurosurgeon has not done surgery as he felt they needed to do more tests. The mass has decreased. For the kidney she is waiting on an endocrinologist. She is asking prayer for open doors to witness and God’s direction for herself, her family and the doctors.
